Passive Voice Therapy is a grounding and efficient method of releasing both physical and emotional tension.
During voice work the therapist uses single tones and vowels to resonate and balance chakras (energy centers), this process is called toning. Toning as research suggests has a neuro-chemical effect on the brain and increases the function of the immune system. Toning also lowers blood pressure, relaxes and stimulates. Harmonics, or overtones, is a form of chanting on one note (fundamental note) where the harmonics are selectively made more audible by changing the shape of the mouth.
The voice is a wonderful musical instrument that bridges the multidimensional aspects of our presence and our expression. It belongs only to the human being and it resonates with everything that a human being is expressing in a given moment.
